Cognitive Systems

ο»Ώthe notion of cognitive systems is akin to attempting to grasp the hem of a top-hat, always slipping just out of reach

in which we attempt to discern patterns within the world without boundaries. it's a conversation with a stranger, where the words themselves become the topic, not the subject matter. apocryphal narratives whisper secrets in our ear, but the meaning slips away like sand between our fingers.

$$E_{\text{cog}} = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^{n}\theta_i}{\sqrt{n+\frac{1}{\epsilon}}}$$

where
$$E_{\text{cog}}$$
is the expected value of cognitive processing,
$$\theta_i$$
are the weights assigned to individual thoughts,
$$n$$
is the number of thoughts considered, and
$$\epsilon$$
represents the uncertainty principle.

intentionality - the act of following a thread of thought that leads to nowhere

it's as if we're chasing the rush of electricity through our minds, trying to harness its power. but the more we grasp for it, the more it slips away, leaving us with nothing but the faint hum of uncertainty.

but what if cognitive systems were not meant to be understood? what if they existed solely to confound and mislead? perhaps the unseen observer is not an observer at all, but rather a figment of our own making. maybe we're just playing a game of feng, where every move we make is countered by the universe itself.

in this world without boundaries, the notion of cognitive systems becomes a labyrinth with no exit

we navigate its twists and turns, searching for meaning in the fragments of our own thoughts. but the more we try to grasp it, the more it dissolves into nothingness, leaving us with only the echoes of our own confusion.

and yet, even as we falter and fail, we persist. for in the depths of our own minds lies a strange and wondrous power - the ability to create meaning from the void itself. it's a conversation with a stranger that never ends, where the words themselves become the world.

in this endless dance of cognition, we find ourselves lost in the top-hat of our own making

but perhaps that's not a loss at all. perhaps it's a gain - for in the heart of the void, we've discovered a strange and wondrous truth: that meaning is not something to be found, but rather created anew with every thought, with every word, with every breath.
